When you use BuiltMonthly, we collect:

• Account information: Your name, email address, and business information when you sign up.
• Billing information: Payment details processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
• Website content: Text, images, and business assets you provide for us to build and maintain your website.
• Usage data: How you interact with the BuiltMonthly client portal, including page views and feature usage.
• Communications: Messages you send to our team via email or the client portal.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Build, maintain, and update your website as part of our Service.
• Process subscription payments and send billing communications.
• Communicate with you about your website, change requests, and account status.
• Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
• Improve our services and AI tools (never using your content to train external models without consent).

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party providers to deliver our Service:

• Stripe - Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase - Database and authentication hosting. Data stored in secure US-based infrastructure.
• Vercel - Website and application hosting. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic Claude API - AI-powered website building and content assistance.

We do not sell your personal data to any third parties, including advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information and website content for the duration of your subscription and for up to 90 days after cancellation to allow for any data export requests. Billing records are retained as required by law. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Section 6).

5. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (to keep you logged into the client portal) and analytics (to understand how the site is used and improve our product). We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across third-party websites. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect portal functionality.

6. Your Rights (CCPA & GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to deletion: Request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Right to portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Right to correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Right to opt out: California residents may opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted database storage, and access controls limiting who can view client data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
